The MONK ROCK Tour has been a blessing – really cool too. John Michael
and Terry have so much to teach us “younger” artists (I barely qualify
for that anymore). John Martin (drums/percussion) and Joe Hand (bass)
are also a joy to work with, and John Cotton, our sound guy, is “the
bomb”. He can fix anything and does so with the humble spirit of
Christ. Me? I’m just glad to be here and trying to do the will of God –
playing music for his glory and sharing Christ’s love with our
wonderful audiences. My favorite moment so far? Watching John Michael
play the banjo, listening to the audience whistle with me during
“Unravel” and eating beef jerky on the bus (teriyaki rules!). Actually,
singing “Here I Am” with John Michael and Joe Hand is my favorite
moment – simply praying and singing. If you get a chance, come see us!
Maybe I’ll give you a free “Monk Rock” Tour hat if you mention this blog! Ed. Note: better take that one up with Viola Tom. 🙂
Seriously. But bring me a small bag of beef teriyaki jerky and you may
get a CD too! Peace and blessings, Tom Booth (11/5/05)
